
Terms & Conditions
1. Sales Agreement
1.1 These terms that are set out by Camping Service Centre brought to you by Tent Spares Ltd are binding to the user of our services. Please make sure to go through these terms and conditions before proceeding to use one of our services.
1.2 The service you select constitutes an offer to purchase the service in accordance with these terms. You are responsible for ensuring that the terms of the order are correct. Please read and check your details and quotes before going ahead with the repair.
2. Methods of Payment
2.1 We accept many forms of payment for the repair services which include:
- Visa Credit & Debit Cards
- MasterCard Credit & Debit Cards
- PayPal
- Cash on Collection
2.2 If paying by card please make sure you have your card in front of you and the name matches exactly as it should on the card. You will also need to tell us the billing address if different from the shipping address.
3. Dispatch / Pick-up
3.1 Goods will only be dispatched once full payment for the repair has been received and cleared.
3.2 Standard dispatch is via FedEx at an additional cost of £9.99, which will be added to the total repair value.
3.3 All FedEx shipments are sent using a trackable service, and a tracking number will be provided upon dispatch.
3.4 FedEx deliveries operate Monday to Friday only; goods dispatched on a Friday will be delivered the following Monday or, at the latest, Tuesday.
3.5 Once goods have left our premises, we are unable to amend delivery details or shall not be liable for any delays in delivery as this is beyond our control.
3.6 Any delays caused by FedEx, including but not limited to depot backlogs or operational delays, are outside of our control and we accept no liability for such delays.
3.7 Where goods exceed standard size or weight limits, dispatch will be arranged via pallet delivery. A delivery date and time must be agreed in advance.
3.8 Pallet delivery is a one-time shipping service; if delivery is missed, the full pallet delivery charge will be payable again.
3.9 Goods may alternatively be collected in person from 25 Faraday Road, Harrowbrook Industrial Estate, Hinckley, Leicestershire, LE10 3DE.
3.10 Payment may be made in advance over the phone or in person on collection using the payment methods listed in clause 2.1.
3.11 If you are sending your tent/awning by courier and need it back by a specific date you will need to get in touch first, to see if this can be met.
3.12 Repairs will usually take up to 14 days, we can offer a 3-4 Working Days Express Service which costs an extra £20+VAT (subject to availability).
4. Tent Pole Repairs / Air Tube Repairs
4.1 Tent poles can be repaired, we can replace sections within a pole run, re-thread the pole runs, add different ends to the sections or duplicate/manufacture complete new pole runs, you can contact us on TentSpares.co.uk
4.2 It may be possible to repair air tubes, if the end seam has a hole in, then they can usually be resealed via a High Frequency Welding Machine, but you need to take into consideration how much usage the tube has had as sometimes it’s best to just replace the tube as they can stretch over time.
5. Tent & Awning Repairs
5.1 We carry out a range of repairs on tent or awning flysheets and inner tents, this includes tears in the fabric, zip repairs, pegging points, guy lines, webbing straps, clips, toggles etc.
6. Other Camping Repairs
6.1 Other camping equipment can be repaired like sleeping bags and rucksacks for example.
7. Proofing
7.1 We do not currently offer tent or awning proofing services.
7.2 Any enquiries or requests for proofing will not be accepted at this time.
7.3 While we may review and consider offering proofing services in the future, we are under no obligation to do so, and any future availability of such services will be subject to separate terms and conditions.
8. Quoting
8.1 All quotations are provided as estimates only and are based on the anticipated time required to carry out the repair, as assessed by the repairer.
8.2 Quotations are intended as a guideline and may be subject to change should the actual repair time or scope of work differ from the initial assessment.
8.3 All quoted prices are exclusive of VAT, which will be charged in addition at the prevailing rate.
8.4 If you have filled the form out correctly, and the images reflect what needs repairing then the initial quote will stand. However, if we find more issues than you originally stated we will contact you and let you know.
8.5 If we notice more areas to be repaired, then we will inform you and if you wish to go ahead with the additional repairs, the quote will be amended accordingly.
9. Pricing
9.1 The final price will be issued to you via email and will include VAT at the applicable rate and will be accompanied by a detailed breakdown of costs.
9.2 This breakdown may include, but is not limited to, labour time, parts required, and any applicable shipping or delivery charges. The final price will override any previous quotation provided.
10. Shipping or Dropping Your Repairs
10.1 If you are shipping your repairs in to us, make sure the item is completely dry and in a box. If you are dropping your repair off make sure it is also clean and dried out.
10.2 If slightly damp we will apply a drying charge of £5 per day.
10.3 However, if the items are soaking wet then you need to arrange collection and return it once dry for the repairs to be carried out.
10.4 When sending your tent/awning via a courier in for repair, please make sure it is boxed, and the Repair Number is clearly visible on the outside of the box.
10.5 Please ensure that the ‘CSC Repair Form’ is enclosed within the item prior to shipment.
10.6 Only send the parts to be repaired (remove all poles, air tubes and inner tents & pegs etc. where possible)
10.7 If sent to us without a box there will be an additional charge to re-box the item for return shipping and the cost will depend on the size of the box required.
10.8 Attach a rubber band (or something similar) to each of the areas requiring repair. This will bring the exact points to our Inspection Team members attention, ensuring that returns are handled quickly and no areas of the repairs are missed.
10.9 The customer shall be responsible for shipping the goods and making sure that they arrive undamaged.
10.10 You as the customer shall be responsible for having extra compensation when shipping with courier or pallet service.
11. Schedule / Time
11.1 Once the repair has been approved by our repairing team to say that we can repair, we will need to schedule your repair in.
11.2 We generally aim to get your repair completed within 14 days of it arriving at our premises.
11.3 We can offer a 3-4 Working Days Express Service which costs an extra £20 +VAT (subject to availability).
11.4 Please note during our peak season, June-August turnaround times may be affected.
12. Inspection Fee
12.1 If items are received without prior warning or without a previous email being sent then an inspection fee will be applied as we will need to find all of the repair issues before going ahead with the repair work.
13. Storage Costs
13.1 We expect all tent/awnings to be collected within a reasonable time of within 1 month of receiving the ‘Repair is Ready!’ email or SMS. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN STORAGE CHARGES to cover extra insurance and handling charges.
14. Scrap
14.1 If the item is unrepairable and it needs to be disposed of then this will need to be collected.
14.2 We can dispose of it on your behalf, however, this will incur an additional cost and will be calculated on the size of the item.
15. Rodent Damage
15.1 We do not repair items that have been damaged by rats, mice or any other rodents due to health and safety reasons.
15.2 If an item is damaged by a rodent we will email you and ask you to pick it up or you will need to arrange collection.
16. Other Terms
16.1 We are within our rights to amend these Terms & Conditions at anytime, therefore please check the the terms and conditions before contacting us regarding your repair.
16.2 The contract will be between us and yourself (the customer), no other third party will be involved or have any rights to enforce its term.
17. Use of Personal Data
17.1 The personal information that you have filled out on the contact form will be used only for us to use to get in touch with you regarding your repair. There will be no information regarding payment or cards details that we store on the system, and you should not provide us this information on the contact form either.
17.2 Your name, email address, phone number will not be used by anyone other than Camping Service Centre and Tent Spares Ltd.
